“My interest in life comes from setting myself huge, apparently unachievable challenges and trying to rise above them … from the perspective of wanting to live life to the full.” Sir Richard Branson – English Business Magnate, investor and philanthropist.
Richard writes in his autobiography that he was ballooning over Algeria that his balloon started to suddenly drop during the night – 2000 feet per minute.
During the fall a time came when they were just 2400 feet above the ground (just about a minute from death) and could not parachute. He said that at that moment when death was almost imminent he thought that a dying man reviews his life in the final seconds before his death, but he couldn’t. He just thought if he escaped with his life, he wouldn’t do it again. But his balloon escaped crash and he did it again.
