Animals in circuses are trained by making them believe that they are captives and they have no other option left to them but to obey. That’s the difference between the lion of jungle and of a circus.
Lion of the Jungle is The King of the Jungle because he believes in his strength and power. Make him a captive, train him for the circus and then send him to the jungle. That lion will starve to death. He would have forgotten that once he was The King.
The same is true with a man. Till he believes he holds his destiny in his hands, he remains the King of his life. But once you make him believe that he is a captive, he’s a slave – a slave to fate or circumstance, he becomes a slave. He even becomes unable to earn his own living.
