Participation in Annual Terry Fox Run 2015 – Abu Dhabi to raise awareness about Cancer and Research

I have been in Abu Dhabi for almost 10 years and delighted to share that I have been a regular to attend the Annual Terry Fox Run ever since. I have seen the popularity and number of participants grow each year.

The Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions around the world in commemoration of Canadian cancer activistTerry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, and to raise money for cancer research.

This event raises a lot of charity for Cancer research as well as inspires people to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

When I am partipating in long endurance events and I am feeling tired I often think about Terry Fox, how could he run 42 kms day after day on an amputated leg. Its really in one’s mind. He was a super super hero. It gives me a lot of hope that we all have the potential by nature to develop such endurance if we put our heart and mind to it.

It was a great honour for me to also meet HE The Ambassador of Canada, Mr. Arif Lalani, share my story and achievements with him and wave Canadian Flag with him.
